5. Stokes Landing White Blaze Trail

  • Difficulty: Easy 
  • How to get to Stokes Landing White Blaze Trail: Head North of Saint Augustine passed the airport. Take a left off of Interstate Highway 1 and get on Venetian Boulevard. Continue and take a right on Old Dixie Drive until you see Lakeshore Drive and continue on Lakeshore Drive until you can see the trail
  • Duration of walk: The average person takes around half an hour to complete this trail
  • Trail length: 1.4 miles
  • Elevation: 0 feet

  • This trail has exceptional views, it’s on my lowest tier on the list because of the confusing trail markers
  • The elevation level has you excited, doesn’t it? As you can assume this trail is a breeze, a great starter trail
  • Another not-so-wonderful thing about this trail is that bugs have claimed this trail
  • Overall With St. Augustine hiking, I would still recommend this trail considering how luscious it is when it comes to picturesque beauty

4. Ancient Dunes Nature Trail

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • How to get to Ancient Dunes Nature Trail: Head South East of Saint Augustine, and go towards Anastasia State Park, before reaching it get off at San Juan Street / San Juan Drive
  • Duration of walk: Most people take around 10 minutes to complete this trial
  • Trail length: 0.7 miles
  • Elevation: 6 feet

  • Whatever you are envisioning as the name of the trail bounces off of your lips is probably exactly how the trail appears
  • 0.7-mile trail length with a whopping 6 feet of elevation, do I need to convince you to come on over more than simply saying that?
  • This is another trail where you are going to want to bring the bug spray because you may become immersed in layers of mosquitos
  • One of my favorite things about this trail is that it’s incredibly shaded

3. Moses Creek White Trail

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • How to get to Moses Creek White Trail: Head South of St. Augustine on Interstate Highway 1 towards The Moses Creek Conservation Area. Turn onto Highway 206 and you should see signs
  • Duration of walk: The average person takes around 1 hour to complete this trail
  • Trail length: 4.0 miles
  • Elevation: 45 feet

  • Between the unique eccentricities, the wildlife, the views, and nature… you may just fall in love with this hike
  • On this trail, you can camp, go horseback riding, mountain biking, and walk your dogs
  • The only downside when it comes to this trail is that not only your mood can become literally dampened if it has recently rained
  • When it comes to St. Augustine hiking, I had to list the Moses Creek White Trail considering how diverse the overall trail is
  • I highly recommend you to take the bike trails here instead because, in my opinion, they are much more elegant and divine

2. Cape Francis Beach Walk

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • How to get to Cape Francis Beach Walk: This trail is going to be East of Saint Augustine, you’ll get on Highway A14A until you get South of Anastasia. Turn onto Park Road and head all the way 
  • Duration of walk: The average person takes around 2 hours to complete this mammoth of a trail
  • Trail length: 7.3 miles
  • Elevation: 36 feet

  • I don’t know about you but to me, on some days an actual hike beside a beach may not be able to be topped
  • Don’t tell anyone but this secretly might be my favorite hike on the list most days of the week. If you are a beach person you are going to be friggin’ obsessed with this magnificent creation
  • Remember that there is a fee to enter Anastasia State Park
  • When it comes to St. Augustine Hiking this is the ultimate package, unless, of course, you don’t have much time at all
  • This trail would be considered more of a normal walk instead of an actual hike
  • If you don’t enjoy being around loads of people, you will love this trail even more considering there aren’t usually many people on it

1. Fort Matanzas Nature Trail

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • How to get to Fort Matanzas Nature Trail: Head South of Saint Augustine, South of Crescent Beach, and head on Highway A14A until you reach Fort Matanzas National Monument. 
  • Duration of walk: This trail takes most people around 6 entire minutes!
  • Trail length: 0.3 miles
  • Elevation: 9 feet

  • Let me take a wild guess, this is the longest hiking trail you’ve ever seen in your life?
  • Even your toddlers would consider this trail to be very trekkable
  • When it comes to St. Augustine hiking… the Fort Matanzas Nature Trail is number one on my list of top 5 hiking trails in St. Augustine, Florida purely due to its sheer beauty mixed with being the absolute easiest trail I’ve seen anywhere around Saint Augustine. 
  • Another wonderful attribute about this trail is that there are many trees, and this could certainly be done in an enjoyable manner even during a rainy day
  • I would call this the best family trail around, this trail is a must-see
  • Along with this being a magnificent hiking trail, this is also home to a lot of American history
