Welcome to what consists of my all-time favorite trails around Talamanca. If you have some adoration for beaches, you will love this list. However, I left you a small surprise even if beaches aren’t your cup of tea

5 – Cocles a Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to Cocles a Puerto Viejo de Talamanca: Head East of Catarata and your destination will be directly off Highway 256
- Duration of hike: The average person takes roughly an hour and a half to complete this trail
- Trail length: 4.6 miles
- Elevation: 272 feet

- If you are a fan of beaches, this one is a must-do. In terms of absolute elegance, this trail seems to age like fine wine
- On this trail, other than beaches you will find many dogs, wildlife, and interesting flowers
- When it comes to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca hiking you will find yourself deeply enjoying the tranquility of this trail
- Be ready to go over fallen trees though, it’s very common to encounter these fallen objects on this trail
4 – Miss May Point
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to Miss May Point: You can expect to take roughly half an hour to complete this trail
- Duration of hike: You can find this trial directly North of Manzanillo
- Trail length: 1.6 mile
- Elevation: 131 feet

- Between the amazing animals and the trail maintenance, it’s difficult to pinpoint actual potential issues with this trail
- My favorite thing about this trail is the secret paths you will find along the way. Where do these paths go? You will have to discover them yourself!
- Along with being a very well-maintained trail, you will encounter varieties of amazing animals on this trail
3 – Volio Waterfalls
- Difficulty: Moderate
- How to get to Volio Waterfalls: Go North of Bribri, follow Calle Buenavista all the way and you will find the trail parallel to it
- Duration of hike: On average, you can expect to take around half an hour to complete this trail
- Trail length: 1.2 mile
- Elevation: 232 feet

- If you prefer waterfalls over beaches, you cannot go wrong with this beauty
- On this trail, you can expect not only a waterfall but you can expect a luscious rainforest of love
- I had to include a waterfall trail in the realm of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca hiking to prove they in fact do exist
- You can also expect to cross a river, though it is very easy. You don’t have to worry unless you are worried about having fun
2 – Manzanillo a Punta Mona
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to Manzanillo a Punta Mona: Head directly East of Manzanillo off of Calle Mirador
- Duration of hike: You can expect to take around 3 hours to complete this trail
- Trail length: 6.1 miles
- Elevation: 833 feet

- This is a trail of near perfection besides of course if it has recently rained… If it has rained within days… this trail can be the opposite of amazing
- When you are thinking about Puerto Viejo de Talamanca hiking, a visit to Talamanca without at least checking this trail out would be an unfortunate circumstance… unless of course if it has recently rained
- Some of the great things about this trail include forest and beach views that could be beautifully captured at any given moment
- You can expect some wildlife along with many wondrous flowers
1 – Punta Cahuita
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to Punta Cahuita: You can find this trial directly East of Cahuita
- Duration of hike: This trail will take you roughly 2 hours to complete on average
- Trail length: 5.2 miles
- Elevation: 351 feet

- This trail is the most consistently loved trail on the entire list. I welcome you to try to find reasons to dislike this trail because it is the real deal in terms of absolute benevolence
- The wildlife on this trial is out of this freakin’ world! If you love wildlife, get over here and live it up!
- Though it may seem as if you need a tour guide, you do not. Come on over and give this trail a try
- In terms of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca hiking, I chose this as number one for my top 5 best hikes in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica because of how easy it is along with how this trail could compete with the best of the best in terms of views
- Don’t just take my word for it, come allow yourself to form an opinion after hiking this mammoth of a marvel
