Today I’m going to tell you 10 of my favorite areas in Istanbul, Turkey
If you’re planning on going there or living there at some point, this is going to be incredibly useful for you, hopefully
- Bazaars
- Istanbul is home to some of the most significant bazaars (markets) on the planet.
- One is the Grand Bazaar. You’ll absolutely need to check some of these amazing markets out.
- Purchase something from a bazaar as a memento. I’m sure you’ll buy some of the food. Just looking at the food in the Turkish bazaars your subconscious will force you to taste some of the pure wonders of Turkey
- A lot of Turkish people, especially in the bazaars tend to be really friendly towards tourists so be ready for some wonderful little potential conversations.
- The Grand Bazaar is of historic significance considering it was formed in 1461!

- Çatladıkapı Parkı
- This was probably the area I spent the bulk of my time, I do warn you on not just the nature but its addictive nature
- This place is directly beside the unbelievable Sea of Marmara
- If you love beach-like areas, you’ll love this place
- There are so many places to relax, workout, and have an amazing conversation with locals
- If you want an amazing way to spend a large portion of your day. You can walk above Çatladıkapı Parkı along the Sea of Marmara for a spectacular adventure
- If you’re looking for Çatladıkapı Parkı, it’s located in Küçük Ayasofya Mahallesi, Avrasya Tüneli, 34122 Fatih – Istanbul, Turkey
- Ways to get there
- The Metro
- Yes, I’m totally serious here.
- One of my favorite things to do in Istanbul is to get on the metro and get off at a completely random spot
- I don’t even have enough room here to tell you the plethora of stories I’ve formed from my random metro stop decisions. You can choose to pick a spot at random or wait for a while and walk out of the door at that particular stop.

- Even if you’re not a spontaneous person, try this out. You might make a friend, you’ll definitely make memories with this ceremony

- Şişli – Esentepe
- You have to come here at some point, and you will most likely want to take the metro. The metro comes directly to this area.
- This place is so unlike many of the places you’ll see in Istanbul which makes it encompass a unique specialty to the environment and architecture
- The best time to come here is if you’ve been in Istanbul for a while and want to travel to somewhere that looks like another universe
- Here you will see more of a modern sense of architecture, and overall environment
- Information about Şişli
- Sultan Ahmet Park
- Near this park are the most historical places of Istanbul. You have quick access to a lot of significant marvels directly in this area.
- Walk around and go inside anything that piques your interest, maybe you’ll get lucky and get lost
- In terms of travel to Istanbul Turkey, you have to come here and loosen up a little
- The Sultan Ahmet Park is in between 2 marvelous feats of Istanbul, The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia
- I can’t say enough good things about this park. It reverberates with a sense of pure positivity. It’s a beautiful relaxation spot in between visiting the wonders of Istanbul
- This extraordinary park is located at Binbirdirek, Sultan Ahmet Parkı No:2, 34122 Fatih/İstanbul, Turkey
- If you’re wondering how long it’s open, it’s open 24 hours a day. I’m not sure about their pitching a tent policy though

- Wander
- Wander aimlessly and you’ll find the most exquisite possible environments, I promise you!
- Istanbul may be the greatest city I’ve found so far for the state of aimless wander
- At first, you may say something along the lines of “psh” Trust me on this, you’ll wander into the most unique areas that blast with eccentricity
- You’ll adore wandering the markets of Istanbul, particularly. This means wandering the streets isn’t the only thing I’m talking about
- Go wander the world that is the benevolent creation of Istanbul, Turkey
- Zorlu Center
- This place is a giant spectacle of wonder
- If you need to buy anything come straight here, don’t worry, they have it.
- At Zorlu Center, you’ll find anything. Just be careful because you could end up walking around Zorlu Center for days
- Travel to Istanbul Turkey and I would actually classify Zorlu Center as a city. Comparatively speaking, what do you think?
- If you’re looking for this massive megalopolis, it’s located at Levazım, Koru Sokağı No:2, 34340 Beşiktaş/İstanbul, Turkey
- It’s open from 10 am to 10 pm every single day

- Ferry Rides
- There is a ferry that goes from the West Side (European ((Anatolian)) Side) to the East Side (Asian side)
- This is such a phenomenal and vastly underrated trip with the added bonus of being very affordable. This may be the most affordable boat ride you’ll ever take in your life.
- You’re curious as to how much the ferry ride from one side to the other is now aren’t ya? Well, the ferry ride is going to cost you a whole $0.10. That’s right 10 cents!
- When one makes the travel to Istanbul Turkey one must participate in at least one extravagant trip by ferry
- Once you get to the other side you can finally say you’ve been to Asia if this is your first time in Asia
- These ferry rides usually go every 20 minutes until around 11:00 pm

- Eminönü -> Üsküdar
- Eminönü -> Kadıköy
- Beşiktaş -> Kadıköy
- Karaköy -> Üsküdar
- Karaköy -> Kadıköy
- Maiden’s Tower
- At first, I thought the Maiden’s Tower was going to be a normal lighthouse. It turned out to be a spectacular Turkish feat
- I adore relaxing on benches eating something refreshing insight of this beautiful treasure
- You can easily make a day of walking up and down the waterfront
- The story on The Maiden’s Tower is that the Byzantine emperor put his daughter in this tower to save her from a snake
- If you’re wondering where the Maiden’s Tower is located, it’s at Salacak, 34668 Üsküdar/İstanbul, Turkey

- Bakırköy Pazar Alanı
- If you like flea markets you’re going to be obsessed with this place
- This place has all different types of not only objects but food and fruit also
- You can spend weeks at this place looking at all the different types of unique objects that are spread everywhere under massive tents
- There are quite a few areas similar to this, if you wander around the Kadikoy area you are bound to find more

- Your travels to Turkey might benefit greatly from these time-saving traveling items
- While in Istanbul, make sure to get your Istanbulkart. This is a card that will enable you to use public transportation. It’s a pre-paid card that you can put money on easily. When you use this card you also receive enormous discounts on things like ferry rides. You can usually get these cards from airports, metros, and ferry ports. More information
