5. Winkler Observation Loop
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to The Winkler Observation Loop: Head South of Fort Myers, and take Highway 869 South until you get to Winkler Road. Take Winkler Road all the way South
- Duration of hike: The average person takes roughly half an hour to complete this trail
- Trail length: 2.2 miles
- Elevation: 3 feet
- More information: Winkler Observation Loop
- This is a fun medium-length trail where it’s not too long but long enough to make you feel as if you have sufficiently hiked
- One of the best things about this amazing trail is that it’s a loop trail which is my favorite type of trail
- If you dig privacy, this trail would be a wonderful addition to your hiking endeavors considering there are not many people that come on this trail
- Following trails Fort Myers, one cannot go wrong with the beautiful Winkler Observation Loop
- If you don’t want to get wet feet I would advise you not to go on this trail when it has recently rained
4. Six Mile Cypress Slough Slew Walkway
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to Six Mile Cypress Slough Slew Walkway: Go a bit South East of Fort Myers, head along Highway 865 until you get to Penzance Boulevard. Instead of going onto Penzance, take a left.
- Duration of hike: The average person takes roughly 20 minutes to complete this trial
- Trail length: 1.3 miles
- Elevation: 6 feet
- More information: Six Mile Cypress Slough Slew Walkway
- Titles of trails can be mischievous and unrepresentative sometimes, in this case, you may immediately assume it’s going to be six miles but… it’s a bit over 1 mile
- This trail is wheelchair capable. However, there is a fee to enter (for everyone) so be ready for that
- On this trail, you will most likely see a lot of luscious wildlife along with capturing some of the essences of nature
- I highly recommend this in terms of trails Fort Myers if you are seeking a trip that exudes a sense of solitude
3. Hickory Swamp Loop
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to The Hickory Swamp Loop: Head East of Fort Myers towards Buckingham, get on Peace Road and you’ll see The Hickory Swamp Preserve
- Duration of hike: The average person takes half an hour to complete this trail
- Trail length: 1.6 miles
- Elevation: 9 feet
- More information: Hickory Swamp Loop
- Unlike the previous trail, this trail is represented exactly how it sounds
- Beware of this trail on hot days considering there aren’t many ways to get out of the sun unless you bring an umbrella
- You are nearly guaranteed to see some wonderful animals on this trail. However, be warned this trail isn’t the best-marked trail of all time
- In terms of trails Fort Myers, I would highly recommend you to visit The Hickory Swamp Loop
- To be bluntly honest, you will either love or hate this trail
2. Manatee Loop
- Difficulty: Easy
- How to get to The Manatee Loop: Head North East of Fort Myers on Highway 80 until you reach Lee County, Manatee Park
- Duration of hike: Most people seem to take a whole 9 minutes to complete this trail
- Trail length: 0.5 miles
- Elevation: 6 feet
- More information: Manatee Loop
- One thing is guaranteed, you are going to not only make some memories but have an exceptional time on this unique trail
- Who could deny this gorgeous 9-minute hike of the opportunity to trek it
- This hike is wheelchair accessible, no dogs are allowed and the place requires a fee to get inside
- I’m surprised this trail isn’t more popular considering how elegant the entirety of this trail is
1. Quarantine Docks Loop Trail
- Difficulty: Moderate
- How to get to The Quarantine Docks Loop Trail: You have to make your way over to Cayo Costa State Park, which means you will have to take a boat or ferry here. You can utilize a boat or ferry from the nearby ports
- Duration of hike: The average person takes around 2 and a half hours to complete this trail
- Trail length: 9.0 miles
- Elevation: 55 feet
- More information: Quarantine Docks Loop Trail
- If you are obsessed with beaches like I am… You are going to be obsessed with this unbelievable trail
- While it does say it’s moderate, this trail isn’t too much more difficult on the grand hierarchy of this list of trails
- In comparison with most of the other trails, this one is a bit more unknown… for now. The spiritual vibrations you will get on this one-of-a-kind hike are otherworldly
- Dealing with trails Fort Myers, the reason The Quarantine Docks Loop Trail is on my top 5 hiking trails in Fort Myers, Florida… This trail can compete with trails all across the world, in my opinion, this is a very special place to be
- The only bad thing about this trial is that if you do come here after it’s recently rained… you may have to trek through some beautiful aqua
